300+ Redwing over Saughall, heading north this morning.
1 Jack Snipe - Burton Marsh.
3 Curlew Sandpiper and 3 Spotted Redshank - Inner Marsh Farm Hide.
1 Snow Bunting on breakwater - Wallasey Shore.
1,000 Black-tailed Godwit - Thurstaston Shore.
1 Marsh Harrier - Parkgate Marsh, evening.

Oct 11
Large numbers of Redwings passing over including 300 over New Brighton at 8am, 350 over West Kirby centre by 8.30am and one flock of 250 over Newton, also lots over Thurstaston plus a large flock of Jackdaws over.
1000+ Redwing and 200 Fieldfare past Leasowe Lighthouse during the day.
6 Crossbill flew from Pine in garden in Newton, flew towards Caldy at 1pm.
800 Black-tailed Godwit - Thurstaston Shore as tide came in, also 48 Pintail and 200 Knot.
11 Whooper Swan, 37 Golden Plover, 3 Curlew Sandpiper, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) and c.50 Pink-footed Geese - Inner Marsh Farm Hide.

Influx of Redwings this morning, reports from Thurstaston including flock of 30, West Kirby, Heswall and Burton.
9 Buzzard and 22 Jackdaw over Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.

4 Wheatear by Hoylake Lifeboat Station, one fly-catching!
7 Wheatear in sand dunes, 2 Raven and 1 Peregrine over - West Kirby Shore.
9 Pink-footed Geese landed on Tanskey Rocks (off West Kirby) with Greylag Geese.

7 Leach's Petrel, 1 Storm Petrel and 1 Black Tern this morning, 7 Leach's petrel, 1 Storm Petrel and 1 Fulmar early evening - New Brighton.
10 Leach's Petrel this morning - Leasowe Gap.
1 Leach's Petrel - Point of Ayr.
1 Grey Phalarope on sea on west side of groyne at 8am then flew east - Leasowe Lighthouse.

Sep 15
1 Long-tailed Skua (juv), 2 Arctic Skua and 1 pale-bellied Brent Goose - Hilbre.
1 Mediterranean Gull - West Kirby Marine Lake.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 1 Peregrine (fem) and 1 Kingfisher, 1 escaped ringed Teal and a hybrid teal both of which people are confusing with Garganey - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Skua (probably Arctic) over Gilroy Nature Park heading towards West Kirby at 3pm, and 1 Swift at 4.30pm!
1 Marsh Harrier (male) off Denhall Quay.
3 Arctic Skua, 4 Fulmar, 8 Manx Shearwater, 28 Sandwich Tern and 50 Gannet off North Wirral.

Sep 14
1,000+ Black-tailed Godwit roosting in channel after high tide, 1 Curlew Sandpiper just off Tinkers Dell at 11am - Thurstaston Shore.
3 Wheatear and 1 Whinchat in horse paddocks, 2 Peregrine on sand bank - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Little Sint - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Great Skua, flew up from sand bank at about noon, and again late afternoon when flew very close towards West Kirby - Red Rocks.
9 Greenshank - Connah's Quay Reserve.
9 Curlew Sandpiper - Burton Outer Marsh.

1 Mediterranean Gull - West Kirby Marine Lake.
7 Greenshank briefly on Donkey Stand Flash, Parkgate, before flying further into marsh.
1 Little Stint, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Peregrine (juv), 2 Wheatear and 2 White Wagtail - Burton Mere Wetlands.
2 Curlew Sandpiper, 100 Knot and 1,050 Black-tailed Godwit - Thurstaston Shore as tide came in.

1,500 Common Scoter, 4 Guillemot, 6 Great crested Grebe, 2 Red throated Diver and 2 Manx Shearwater off Hoylake Shore.
1 Little Stint and 4 Kingfisher - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Purple Sandpiper, 2 Arctic Skua and 1 Little Grebe (a 'mega' here) - highlight from Hilbre, for more details see

1 Great Skua first seen in wader roost at Heswall surrounded by Crows, it then flew a few yards off the beach at Thurstaston heading north, also 1 Curlew Sandpiper and 1,050 Black-tailed Godwit.

3 Wheatear and 1 Common Sandpiper on groyne at Leasowe Lighthouse.
21 Little Egret, 9 Grey Heron, 750 Black-tailed Godwit and 1 Raven - Heswall Shore before high tide.
240 Black-tailed Godwit and 27 Greenshank, latter vanished into marsh - Parkgate Marsh.
