Aug 17
1 Osprey flew over RLGC from West Kirby Shore early afternoon.
2,300 Black-tailed Godwit - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby, at 8.30 am, unfortunately disturbed by powered para gliders and several hundred flew off, a steady passage of Swifts through the morning probably at least 20 an hour plus 1 Lesser Whitethroat and 2 Spotted Flycatcher.

1 Little Stint - Hoylake Shore over high tide, also report of a Curlew Sandpiper but not confirmed?

19 Black-tailed Godwit (in full breeding plumage so probably failed breeding birds just back from Iceland) - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.

1 Great White Egret still present mid-morning, also 6 Spotted Redshank and 1 Redpoll - Burton Mere Wetlands.

17 Little Egret, 1 Common Sandpiper, c500 Black-headed Gull, 2 ad Mediterranean Gull, 60 Swift - Heswall Shore.

July 3
1 Gull-billed Tern from Inner Marsh Farm Hide - Burton Mere Wetlands, this afternoon, also 3-4 Ruff, 5 Spotted Redshank, 4 Common Sandpiper, 1 Green Sandpiper and 2 Little Ringed Plover.
23 Little Egret, 700 Black-headed Gull, 1ad Mediterranean Gull, 1 juv Grey Wagtail - Heswall Shore.
1 Mediterranean Gull (adult) on sand just off West Kirby Marine Lake as tide came in.
35 Bar-tailed Godwit (1  s/pl) - Hoylake, high tide.
4,000 Herring Gul and 180 Sandwich Tern - West Hoyle Bank.

July 2
3 Mediterranean Gull (all adults), 72 Sandwich Tern and 800 Black-headed Gull on sand just off West Kirby Marine Lake as tide came in.
147 Great Black-backed Gull and c500 Herring Gull in gull roost at Hoylake, high tide.
1 Mediterranean Gull in playing fields - Greenbank Road, West Kirby.
1 Cuckoo, 1 Mediterranean Gull (ad), 2 Little Ringed Plover, 3 Spotted Redshank and 2 Ruff - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Jack Snipe flew towards West Kirby sand dunes from betwen Little Eye and Middle Eye.

July 1
180 Common Scoter flew west in three flocks, 20 Gannet and 130 Cormorant in high tide roost, 200+ Little Terns in breeding colony - Gronant.
1 Golden Plover, 1 Spotted Redshank, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit and 2 Whimbrel - Heswall Shore.
4 Spotted Redshank, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Cuckoo, 1 Ruff and 1 Green Woodpecker - Burton Mere Wetlands.
300+ Swift moving through, also 120 Common Tern - Hilbre.
