Aug 22
1 Green Sandpiper, 380 Black-tailed Godwit and 3 Knot - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
4 Wheatear - Hilbre.
Similar numbers of waders as yesterday plus 35 Little Tern, 70 Great Black-backed Gull, 2,800 Herring Gull and 200 Lesser Black-backed Gull -  Hoylake Shore at high tide.
3 Arctic Skua, 1 Pomarine Skua (juv which attacked a Peregrine!), 1 Great Skua, 5 Arctic Tern, 100+ Little Tern, 200+ Sandwich Tern and 1 Wheatear - Red Rocks.
1 Hen Harrier (ringtail) - Parkgate Marsh, and some idiot in a microlight flying just above head height!
700 Black-tailed Godwit (7 colour ringed) - Inner Marsh Farm hide.

200 Sanderling, 450 Ringed Plover and 6,000 Dunlin - Hoylake Shore at high tide, estimates as waders scattered and distant!
1 Mediterranean Gull (ad) - West Kirby Marine Lake, also 1 Peregrine hunting over shore.

Aug 18
1 Yellow-legged Gull, 1 Great Skua, 2 Arctic Skua, 250+ Gannet and 1 Peregrine - Leasowe Lighthouse.
200+ Sandwich Tern and 1 Arctic Tern on island groyne, also 3 Arctic Skua and 2 Whimbrel plus the above gannets seen - Leasowe Castle.

400+ Black-tailed Godwit - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby, flew off at 11am heading south.
150 Sandwich Tern and c2,500 Black-headed Gull - West Kirby Shore at high tide.
1 Pectoral Sandpiper and 5 Spotted Redshank - - Inner Marsh Farm hide.
1 Mediterranean Gull (ad) - Moreton, seen at sea end of Pasture Road, has been there for a few days (this bird was ringed in Antwerp in 2002 and is a regular here).
1 Whimbrel and several Swifts - Thurstaston this evening.

440 Black-tailed Godwit, 200 Knot and 150 Sandwich Tern - West Kirby Shore off Marine Lake as tide came in, 4 Little Tern flew past at high tide.
1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Ruff, 2 Green Sandpiper, 2 Spotted Redshank and female Marsh Harrier -  Burton Mere Wetlands.

10+ (5 pair) Reed Warbler around duck pond and nature trail, also 2 Stock Dove - Leasowe Lighthouse.
