2 Black-throated Diver flew east past Leasowe Lighthouse at 9.40am, also 17 Wheatear, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Swift, 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 12+ Blackcap, 49 Great Crested Grebe, 47 Gannet, 2 Whimbrel, 36 Sandwich Tern and 11 Common Scoter. 
Leasowe Lighthouse this evening - 7 Whinchat and 14 Wheatear in field by western kissing gate, also 1 Grasshopper Warbler by same field and another 14 Wheatear in the horse paddocks.
4 Whinchat in field by Park Lane, Meols.
19 Blackcap (all caught and ringed), 2 Grasshopper Warbler and 1 Common Sandpiper - Hilbre.

Apr 13
1 Cuckoo *first of spring* by Stapledon Wood, Caldy.
1,515 Pink-footed Geese (in 15 skeins) heading NE, 2 Ring Ouzel, 26 Swallow, 11 Sand Martin, 3 House Martin and 12 Wheatear - Red Rocks, this morning, 2 Black-throated Diver and 9 Red-throated Diver over high tide.
6 Wheatear - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
6 Wheatear, c6 White Wagtail and 1 Raven, a fall of Chiffchaffs (at least 20 in area) and six of these were flitting across the path at the west end of the horse paddocks a few feet from the watching birders - Leasowe Lighthouse.
4 Wheatear on the rocks by Hoylake Lifeboat Station.
2 Ring Ouzel in field by Stone Farm, Meols, but flew after 2 minutes!
