April 30:

1 Wood Warbler singing in trees by footpath leading from Talbot Avenue, Brimstage, about 75 yards from road, also 4 Yellowhammer in area.
1 Wood Warbler singing early morning on Thurstaston Hill NT.
1 Redstart (fem), 6 Tree Pipit and 6 Wheatear - Red Rocks, c3 Yellow Wagtail and 1 probable fem Ring Ouzel over, 750 Common Scoter and 7 Arctic Tern off shore.
1 Whinchat, 4 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Wheatear and 1 Raven, 4 Tufted Duck still on fishing lake -  Leasowe Lighthouse.

April 29:

2 Garganey (pair) and  4 Spotted Redshank (summer plumage) - Inner Marsh Farm.

April 28:
2 Lesser Whitethroat and 1 Garden Warbler along cycle track by Deeside Industrial Estate.
1 Whimbrel, 19 Gannet, 62 Common Tern, 2 Arctic Tern, 29 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Grasshopper Warbler and 2 White Wagtail - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Swift over Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
1 Garden Warbler singing in Sainsbury's car park, Upton.
1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Garganey (pair),  4 Spotted Redshank (summer plumage), 4 Gadwall (2 pair) and 300 Black-tailed Godwit - Inner Marsh Farm, and 1 Sacred Ibis at mid-day which may be from the French feral population. 

April 27:
6 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Whinchat, 1 White Wagtail, 37 Gannet, 13 Sandwich Tern and 80+ Common Tern, 28 Great Crested Grebe and 1 Whimbrel - Leasowe Lighthouse.

April 26:
3 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Arctic Skua (dark), 6 Grey Plover with four in full summer plumage), 30+ Sandwich Tern and 50+ Common Tern (possibly including some Arctic Terns but too far out to ID) - Leasowe Lighthouse.

4 Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Whinchat and 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Ring-necked Parakeet flew over at 6.45am - Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Raven and 1 Peregrine soaring over fields by Thurstaston.

April 23:
7 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Whimbrel, 1 Jack Snipe (by ponds), 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Whinchat and 2 Wheatear - Leasowe Lighthouse area.
2 Garganey (pair) and 1 Common Sandpiper still present at 4pm, 3 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Redstart (fem) and 3 Grasshopper Warbler at 6am - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
22 Whimbrel and 10 Tree Pipit - Hilbre.
1 Ring Ouzel - Hoylake, on Kingsmead School playing field, at noon.
2 Mediterranean Gull (adults, over heading towards marshes), 30 Whitethroat, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Blackcap, 5 Wheatear and 91 Carrion Crow - Heswall/Thurstaston fields.

1 Swift *first of spring* - Station Road, Burton.
5+ Grasshopper Warbler (reeling), 4 Wheatear and at least 12 Little Gull feeding quite close in - Leasowe Lighthouse, also 25 Sandwich Tern at high tide.
300 Black Tailed Godwit, 6 Whooper Swan, 5 Greenshank, 5 Wheatear, 4 Avocet, 3 Spotted Redshank, 2 Peregrine, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Common Whitethroat, 1 Whimbrel, 1 Reed Warbler and 1 Garden Warbler - Connah's Quay Reserve.

April 16:
1 Hobby flew over field next to Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
10+ Wheatear, 3 Tree Pipit (over), 8 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler, 6 Gannet, 30+ Sandwich Tern, 30+ Great Crested Grebe and 2 Little Gull, lots of singing Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs - Leasowe Lighthouse.
49 Waxwing - West Kirby, 2pm, in sycamore tree on Blackhorse Hill, briefly before flying off north.
2 Grasshopper Warbler and 13 White Wagtail - Red Rocks.
1 Short-eared Owl over Wallasey Golf club, 8.30am.

30+ Brambling (very vocal including two singing birds), 6 Spotted Redshank, 1 Ruff, 4 Avocet, 1 Merlin over and 1 ringtail Hen Harrier - Inner Marsh Farm.
12 Gannet, 1 Peregrine and 6 Wheatear (on rocks by Lifeboat), only 8 White Wagtails today - Hoylake Shore.
42 Sandwich Tern on groyne - New Brighton, many more over the River Mersey.
7 Redpoll, 3 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Redstart (fem), 41 Gannet, 46 Sandwich Tern, 100+ Great Crested Grebe, 3 Little Gull and 1 Razorbill - Leasowe Lighthouse at high tide.

12 Wheatear and 6 White Wagtail -  Leasowe Lighthouse area, 1 Common Sandpiper in field by ponds (Lingham Lane).

1 Grasshopper Warbler (singing), 1 Redstart and 1 Reed Warbler (singing), 14 Wheatear, 2 Tree Pipit, 50 Meadow Pipit and 31 White Wagtail on the beach - Red Rocks/West Kirby Shore before fog closed in this morning.
Both the Grasshopper Warblers and Reed Warbler are very early.
1 Common Whitethroat, 27 White Wagtail, 4 Wheatear and 3 Sand Martin - ploughed field on seaward side of Wirral Way - Thurstaston at 4pm, also 1 Raven over and at least 3,000 Redshank on the shore.
5 Common Buzzard circling over Pensby this afternoon.

April 6:
7 Waxwing feeding in berry bush by Thurstaston Road (about 300 yards from Anchor Pub, near junction to Lyndhurst Road), Irby, between 8.20am and 9am.
3 Whimbrel over Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby, also 1 Tree Pipit, 1 Yellow Wagtail over late afternoon.
13 Chiffchaff along Wirral Way between West Kirby and Heswall Fields NT.
3 singing Blackcap and 2 singing Willow Warbler around Thurstaston area, 10 Shelduck in one ploughed field.
24 White Wagtail - Hoylake Shore.

April 5:
19 Waxwing on house roof on Thurstaston Road (about 300 yards from Anchor Pub, Thurstaston direction), Irby, at 8am but no sign later in the morning but a Peregrine was in the area, still plenty of berries.
19 Wheatear on Hoylake Langfields (many on ploughed field at Hoylake end of Carr Lane).
1 White Wagtail, 6 Chiffchaff and 14 Willow Warbler - Gilroy Nature Park, West Kirby.
c20 Whooper Swan still on Shotwick Fields.

April 4:
19 Waxwing on house roof on Thurstaston Road (about 300 yards from Anchor Pub, Thurstaston direction), Irby, at 10am, still present at 4pm - seem to be plenty of berries around so they should stay awhile.
1 Water Rail calling - Parkgate Marsh.
51 Golden Plover (many in summer plumage), 2 Wheatear and 2 Sand Martin - Heswall/Thurstaston Shore.

April 3:
6 White Wagtail and 9 Wheatear, 120+ Meadow Pipit feeding on the  mud like waders - West Kirby Shore.
22 Wheatear on ploughed field next to Carr Lane, Hoylake Langfields, also 1 Redstart where Carr lane crosses River Birket.
19 Waxwing feeding on berry tree next to road - Mill Hill Road, Irby, 200 yards north of Church, this morning and still there 3pm.
30 Wheatear, 1 Merlin and 12 Willow Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse, 1 Greenshank on groyne.
1 Tree Pipit - Hoylake shore, over.
4 Wheatear seen from path between Oldfield Farm and Thurstaston Church.
5 Brambling still coming to garden feeder in Thingwall.
4 Avocet - Inner Marsh Farm.
