2300 Shelduck, 3 Pintail, 173 Little Egret, 1700 Oystercatcher, 380 Ringed Plover, 265 Grey Plover, 40 Dunlin, 3000 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Whimbrel, 1560 Curlew, 3500 Redshank, 6 Greenshank on this morning's ebbing tide - Thurstaston.

14 Spoonbill - Parkgate.
1 Osprey was seen to cross the Mersey from Seaforth.
220 Sandwich Tern, 6 Whimbrel and 1 Common Sandpiper, 21 Little Egret was a good number for the island - Hilbre.

1 Hobby over Beacon Woods, Heswall.
2 Common Sandpiper, 1 Little Stint and 1 Greenshank - Meols Shore.

2 Short-eared Owl over the marsh and showing well around 7.30 pm, off Heswall Golf Course.

18 Little Tern in gull roost at high tide - West Kirby Shore.
1 Hobby, 2 Wheatear, 1 Whinchat, 1 Common Redstart, 2 Lesser Whitethroat and 1 Yellow Wagtail (over) between Station Road and Burton Point.
9 Whimbrel, 23 Mediterranean Gull, 1100 Common Gull, 800 Black-headed Gull, 1 Swift over, at high tide -Thurstaston Shore.
11 Spoonbill, 1 Great White Egret and 10 Greenshank Boathouse flash,  2 Spotted Redshank, 11 Greenshank,  3 Ruff, 22 Avocet - Parkgate.

Aug 19
1 Little Stint early morning, also 1 White Wagtail, 3 Green Sandpiper, 29 Ruff (6juvs), 6 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Spotted Flycatcher and 1 Little Ringed Plover - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Osprey over Hilbre and then circled over Hoylake.

Aug 18
12 Spoonbill on Bevyl Road Flash, 20 Greenshank,  2 Spotted Redshank,  2 Ruff, 21 Avocet and Water Rail Donkey Stand flash - Parkgate.
540 Shelduck, 5 Pintail, 3550 Oystercatcher, 340 Ringed Plover, 310 Grey Plover, 60 Dunlin, 2 Common Sandpiper, 3700 Black-tailed Godwit, 1070 Curlew, 4200 Redshank over high tide this morning - Heswall Shore.
1 Bittern seen several times in flight, also 1 Green Sandpiper, 3 Little Ringed Plover, 2 spotted Redshank and 22 Ruff - Burton Mere Wetlands.
2 Black Tern in tern roost this evening - West Kirby Shore.

Aug 17
1 Willow Tit calling, 1 juv Garden Warbler, 1 juv Lesser Whitethroat and 1 juv Grasshopper Warbler near Burton Point.
11 Spoonbill, 25 Greenshank, 2 Spotted Redshank, Green Sand, Water Rail and 19 Avocet Donkey Stand flash - Parkgate.

Aug 16
4 Yellow Wagtail and 2 Wheatear in sheep fields/pens, 2 Lesser Whitethroat in brambles - Burton Point.
1 Bittern seen in flight, also 2 Green Sandpiper and 1 Greenshank - Burton Mere Wetlands.
10 Avocet, 10 Spoonbill and 8 Greenshank on Donkey Stand Flash - Parkgate.

Aug 15
1 Little Stint off Sandhey Slipway, and 1 Osprey over - Meols Shore.
1 Osprey over Caldy.
5 Stonechat by horse paddocks - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Lesser Whitethroat with lots of Blackcaps and Common Whitethroats - Burton Point.
10 Spoonbill, 2 Spotted Redshank, 15 Greenshank, 1 Ruff and 8 Water Rail - Parkgate.

Aug 14
10 Spoonbill (incl 3 juvs, 1 adult caught an eel!), 15 Avocet, 16 Greenshank and 4 Water Rail  on Donkey Stand Flash - Parkgate.
3,000 Dunlin feeding at low tide - Meols Shore.
1 Little Stint, 1 Arctic Skua, 1 juv Mediterranean Gull, 70 Grey Plover, 34 Sandwich Tern and 3,000 mixed waders at high tide - Hoylake Shore.

1 Whinchat in small paddock by western kissing gate - Leasowe Lighthouse.
10 Spoonbill - Parkgate.
2 Green Sandpiper from Border Hide - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Green Sandpiper heard at dusk - Heswall Marsh.
