1 Blue-headed Wagtail in field opposite sewage plant, Carr Lane - Meols.
2 Whinchat, 4 Wheatear and 1 Grasshopper Warbler - Leasowe Lighthouse.
2 Garganey (pair), 1 Little Ringed Plover and 1 Hobby - Burton Mere Wetlands.
1 Blue-headed Wagtail and c13 Yellow Wagtail in fields by Sealand.

1 Wood Sandpiper in flooded field near Ness Gardens.
129 Whimbrel, 1 Yellow Wagtail (Lower Heswall) - Heswall Shore.
1 Rng Ouzel in horse paddock by west kissing gate at 5pm, also 1 Yellow Wagtail, 3 Whinchat, 1 Red Kite over - Leasowe Lighthouse.
1 Wood Sandpiper heard flying over - Thurstaston Country Park.

c100 Gannet feeding offshore - Red Rocks.
1 Great White Egret flew east - Hilbre.
4 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Swift, 1 Cuckoo and 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Osprey high south this afternoon - Leasowe Lighthouse.
133 Whimbrel on rising tide - Heswall Shore.
1 Wood Sandpiper in flooded field near Ness Gardens.
268 Gannet, 24 Guillemot, 80 Sandwich Tern, 29 Whimbrel and 1 Commmon Sandpiper, 1,800 Knot flew north late afternoon - Hilbre.

14 Eider, 12 Red-throated Diver and 125 Sandwich Tern  - Hilbre.
1 Swift *first of spring* over Neston.
At least 20 Whimbrel  on ebbing tide - Caldy/Thurstaston Shore.
10+ Wheatear, 1 Common Redstart, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 3 Whinchat and 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 50+ Gannet offshore - Leasowe Lighthouse.
2 Spoonbill in heronry - Burton Mere Wetlands.
57 Whimbrel, 175 Dunlin, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Ruff over high tide off Heswall Fields NT.
6+ Avocet, 1 Spoonbill and 4 Tufted Duck - Old Baths, Parkgate.

38 Whimbrel, 260 Oystercatcher, 280 Grey Plover, 1100 Dunlin, 85 Curlew, 170 Redshank on the shore, also 1 Whinchat and 1 Lesser Whitethroat at Heswall Fields NT.
1 Grasshopper Warbler reeling near boatyard, also 3+ Whimbrel - Heswall Shore.
1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 White Wagtail, 2 Whimbrel in field, 1 Whinchat, 6 Wheatear, 1 Common Redstart (fem), 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 1 Barn Owl - Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Cuckoo in tree along nature trail, 2 Grasshopper Warbler and 3 Wheatear near the groyne - Leasowe Lighthouse.

2 Manx Shearwater, 800 Sandwich Tern, 14 Little Tern, 75 Gannet, 3 Eider, 4 Shag, 2 Yellow Wagtail (over), 4 White Wagtail (down) - Hilbre.
3 Whinchat (1 on Kerr's field, 2 east of River Birkett) - Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Red Kite over also seen over Hoylake and Hoylake Langfields, 1 Grasshopper Warbler west end of paddocks near groyne, 1 Whimbrel over - Leasowe Lighthouse.

1 Common Redstart in paddocks by Leasowe Gunsite.
1 Common Redstart in horse paddock - Saughall Massie.

1 Great Grey Shrike in field next to Kerr's Field at 10.55am and again this afternoon, 1 Osprey over at 0940am (seen flying N over Seaforth at 10am), 3 Common Redstart and 10+ Wheatear - Leasowe Lighthouse/Meols Common.
1 Osprey circling over Hilbre at 10.53am, headed high towards Hoylake.
3 Common Redstart together - Heswall Fields.
1 Yellow Wagtail, 3 Little Ringed Plover and 7 Wheatear in field near Willaston.
1 Common Redstart in willows along Ditton Lane - Moreton.

2,260 Black-tailed Godwit (record high spring count for this site), many now in full breeding plumage - Caldy Wildfowl Collection.
1 Hen Harrier (male) flew inland, and 20 Fieldfare flew SE along Wirral Way - Parkgate.

2 Green Sandpiper - Neston Marsh.

Apr 1
Several thousand Pink-footed Geese flew north out of the estuary at first light this morning, also 9 Whooper Swan flew north calling excitedly at 7am.
5,000 Herring Gull seen from Hilbre.

March 31
1 Short-eared Owl this morning over golf course/dunes - Red Rocks.
12 Whooper Swan on main scrape this morning - Burton Mere Wetlands.
3 Greenshank, 2,000+ Pink-footed Geese, 1 Marsh Harrier and 1 Peregrine over high tide - Parkgate.
1 Jack Snipe and 1 Wheatear - Riverbank Road, Heswall.
80 Sand Martin flying north this evening - Neston Marsh.

March 29
1 Russian White-fronted Goose, 12 Barnacle Geese. c7,500 Pink-footed Geese, 2 Red-breasted Merganser, 8 Avocet, 5 Ruff, 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 2 Green Sandpiper, 5 Grey Plover and 1 Jack Snipe over high tide - Denhall Quay.
580 Pink-footed Geese, 515 Shelduck, 1 pair Eider, 23 Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Great Egret, 13 Little Egret, 2 Marsh Harrier, 1 Merlin, 600 Black-tailed Godwit, 500 Curlew over high tide - Riverbank Road, Heswall.
