Back to Welsh Shore   Map of Gronant (Scale: Approx 1 mile across)

Directions:From Point of Ayr/Talacre continue on the A548 towards Prestatyn. At the Gronant crossroads turn right towards little Gronant and Presthaven. Half a mile along this road is a car park on the left. From here walk over the railway bridge and at the end of the road is the entrance to Gronant Sand Dunes Local Nature Reserve. Take the footpath over the river as far as the lake.

From here skirt round the lake to the left then across the sand dunes towards the sea. Walks both through the dunes and along the beach should be fruitful for birding.
The nearest railway stations are at Flint and Prestatyn with a bus service between.
