Connah's Quay Nature Reserve - Directions

From Flint:

Take the A548 towards Connah's Quay/ Queensferry. After 2 ½ miles take the B5129 Connah's Quay exit off the dual carriageway. Turn left following the signs to the power station. The road takes a sharp turn right over the railway and reaches a mini-roundabout. At the turning to the left off the round-about there is a barrier across the road, this is the entrance to the reserve. Members will have their own keys, on open days there will be someone to let you through and show you the directions to the hides.

From Connah's Quay:

Take the B5129 towards Flint. Where the road meets the A548, go under the dual carriageway. Turn left following the signs to the power station. The road takes a sharp turn right over the railway and reaches a mini-roundabout. At the turning to the left off the round-about there is a barrier across the road, this is the entrance to the reserve. Members will have their own keys, on open days there will be someone to let you through and show you the directions to the hides.

From England:

Take either the A550 from Liverpool/north Wirral or the A5117 from Ellesmere Port/M56, follow the road towards Queensferry. Two hundred metres after the junction of the A550 and A5117 turn left off the dual carriageway at the A548, following signs to Flint. Go over the Dee bridge and turn off the dual carriageway at the B5129, Connah's Quay exit. Turn right under the A548. Then turn left following the signs to the power station. The road takes a sharp turn right over the railway and reaches a mini-roundabout. At the turning to the left off the round-about there is a barrier across the road, this is the entrance to the reserve. Members will have their own keys, on open days there will be someone to let you through and show you the directions to the hides.
